Changing to a Higher Competition Level (Move-up)
Voluntary
1.When a PeeWee moves to the Mini/Ladies classes, it is considered a move up and they will receive last place points for each race raced. 

Involuntary (Bumps)
1. Beginner,Amateur, Novice, Intermediate or Expert riders in each class will be moved to the Amateur, Novice, Intermediate, Expert or A Expert class at the end of the racing season based on a points-per-race basis, lap times, and Rider Classification Committee decision. The committee will also consider a riders potential success in a higher class based on new classes, relative class size and/or riders moved out of the higher class.
2. All riders lap times will be compared to the top six riders’ lap times in the next higher class except Experts whose lap times will be compared to the top 8 Pro riders to be moved to the A Expert class.
3. Riders may be moved up during the racing season based upon Rider Classification Committee decision.
4. Each rider may be moved only once per race season by the Rider Classification Committee. (Exception: Riders in the Mini Amateur & PeeWee Amateur & Beginner classes may be moved twice per season.)
5. Once a rider has raced enough races during the season in the same class to qualify for the 60% award (9 of 14 races), that rider may not be moved out of the class before the end of the year.

Series Points:
1. Points carried over in case of move-up: Rider will receive last place points in the new class for each race he or she raced, not to exceed points actually received per race in the prior class. Points will be lost in the prior class. 

Changing to a Lower Competition Level (Move-Down)
1. Once a rider is classified as an A Expert, Expert, Intermediate or Novice, he or she will remain in that classification unless the rider submits a written request for consideration for reclassification to the Rider Classification Committee and is approved.
2. Written reply is to be made to each rider submitting a request for reclassification by the Points Officer.
3. Only two letters of request may be submitted per race season.
